Job description

Job Title: ProcessorAt Goodwill, your work changes the lives of people with challenges to employment. You can make a difference! As a Processor you will provide excellent customer service while performing a variety of duties within the CPC to support the mission.This is not a supervisory role.Starting Pay: $13.50 per hourEssential Job Functions:Punctual and dependable attendance.Review and be familiar with Goodwill of Central Oklahoma safety and security policies, programs and procedures and adhere to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes. Attend safety training and meetings and report on any unsafe work conditions, accidents or injuries immediately.Manually sort donated goods merchandise by identifying condition and category (i.e., clothing. Houseware, etc.).Visually examines items for flaws, irregularities, and determines if item is suitable for resale according to established quality standards.Clean/wipe down items with cleaning/deodorizer solvent to prepare the items for sale.Assists material handler by placing filled or empty handling equipment in proper locations.Meet daily production expectations and timelines set forth by the supervisor.Responsible for general housekeeping in work area.Must wear company approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.Additional Responsibilities:Perform other duties and projects as required by management.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED, preferred.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.Ability to speak, read and write the English language.Reliable transportation and communication, required.Core Competencies:Commitment to the Mission and Live the ValuesInterpersonal SkillsFunctional/Technical SkillsDependabilityCustomer FocusCustomer ServicePatienceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.Adapts to routine tasks and able to follow established procedures consistently.Effectively communicates, interacts, and works with others.Attention to detail.Work well under supervision and respond positively to direction.Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.Physical Requirements:This work is physical and requires the following activities: Standing, twisting, bending, kneeling, grasping, and reaching for long periods of time; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.Frequent walking and long extended periods of time on foot.The ability to push, pull and lift 50 pounds, or more with assistance.Work Environment:Works in warehouse environment will be exposed to airborne particles such as dust, mold, dirt and pollen as well as extreme heat and cold.Must be available to work during operating hours as needed for business operations. The work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays which may vary from week to week as well as occasional overtime when approved by management.Moderate noise level.Works 40 hours per week or more when required.Note: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by an employee in this position.
