Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices - Certified Automotive Mechanics

We are currently seeking full-time Certified Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our advanced automotive service and tire sales centers located in the Largo, FL area. About the Position of Automotive Mechanic
nAs Mavis's leaders in under-car repairs, our Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. Mavis's Certified Automotive Mechanics perform a wide variety of under-car repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks. Automotive Mechanics are also responsible for completing state-mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
nWe seek team members who share our dedication to achieving total customer satisfaction and delivering the highest quality service. As an active role, Automotive Mechanics are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive and consistent movements in line with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair. Mechanics must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
Qualifications
nTo qualify for the role of Certified Automotive Mechanic, you must meet the following requirements:
nnbe at least 18 years old;
nhave legal authorization to work in the United States;
npossess two years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or have a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position; and
npossess a comprehensive set of personal tools for performing under-car repairs.
n nIn addition, candidates must possess the following certifications:
nnstate inspection license(s); and
nAATI certificate and/or
nASE certification in the following areas:
nA4-Steering & Suspension
nA5-Brakes, A6-Electrical
nA7-Heating & Air Conditioning
nA8-Engine Performance
