Job description
Social Worker for Grades 6-8
Make a meaningful difference for young learners as a dedicated social worker supporting grades 6-8. This full-time, onsite role provides the rewarding opportunity to work directly with a manageable caseload of 35 students, helping them thrive in both academic and personal development.
In this contract position, you'll collaborate with educators and families while providing essential support in a middle school setting.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement required
Experience working with students in grades 6-8 strongly preferred
Skilled in both direct counseling and consultative support
Confident in completing and managing IEP paperwork for annual, initial, and reevaluation meetings
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct minutes and consult minutes for student support as outlined in IEPs
Gather and analyze data in preparation for progress reports
Complete thorough, timely IEP documentation for meetings and annual reviews
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure students' needs are being met
Provide social-emotional support tailored to each student's unique challenges and strengths
