Job description
Make a meaningful impact in students' educational journeys by providing Speech-Language Pathology services in a dynamic high school environment. This full-time contract opportunity places you in a supportive setting where your expertise will be valued as you work alongside passionate educators and dedicated students.
Your role will primarily serve a high school caseload, giving you the chance to work with adolescents and help them overcome communication challenges that affect both academic and social success. You'll gain experience collaborating with teachers, counselors, and families, ensuring a well-rounded support system for each student's progress.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
Previous experience in a high school or secondary education setting is desirable
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities Include: Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Provide direct therapy services to students on your caseload
Consult with teachers and support staff to integrate strategies into the classroom
Regularly communicate progress and strategies with families
Maintain accurate records and submit necessary documentation in a timely manner
