Certified Medical Office AssistantThe Staff Pad has partnered with a reputable hospital in Blue Ridge, GA, to hire a dependable Certified Medical Office Assistant. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, providing direct patient care while supporting efficient clinic operations. Working closely with patients, providers, and staff, you'll help deliver a positive and seamless healthcare experience. Schedule: Full-Time| Days | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PMKey ResponsibilitiesCoordinate patient care by rooming patients, collecting histories, obtaining vital signs, and documenting information in the EHRAssist providers during examinations and proceduresAdminister injections, perform EKGs, provide wound care, and complete in-office testingSchedule appointments, verify insurance, and provide financial counselingAnswer and triage phone calls, coordinate referrals, and ensure timely follow-upMaintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and equipmentProcess paperwork and manage electronic patient records in AthenaClinicalsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredDiploma from an accredited technical school for Medical Assisting requiredAt least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office setting preferredCertification or relevant comparable experience requiredCurrent CPR certification (must be obtained within two weeks of hire)Ability to follow directions & manage time effectivelyStrong interpersonal and compassionate communication skillsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced healthcare environmentWhat You Can ExpectExceptional patient care starts with a team that feels valued, supported, and empowered - backed by comprehensive compensation and benefits every step of the wayBenefitsMedical, Rx, Dental, Vision, Life & AD&D InsuranceRetirement PlansPTO, Leave of Absence Maternity/Disability LeaveFlexible Spending Account
