Job description

Medical Assistant - Rheumatology Clinic (Temp-to-Hire)Rheumatology practice located in Phoenixville, PA. Candidates should be able to commute to the practice in 30 minutes or less.Temp-to-Hire — candidates must be interested in converting to a permanent staff position. Pay rate will not exceed $22/hour. Full-time conversion pay rate is approximately $21-$22/hour.Shift Hours (Days): Start times vary — 7:00 AM-5:30 PM or 9:00 AM-7:30 PM (7:00 AM-7:30 PM range). Week 1: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM for training. Week 2 and beyond: Schedule will rotate and includes a requirement to work 1 evening until 7:00 PM, either on a Monday or Tuesday. Only submit candidates who can work Monday or Tuesday evening until 7:00 PM. 1 Saturday shift of 8:00 AM-12:00 PM is required once per month in Phoenixville. Rheumatology practice - Core hours between 7:45 AM and 5:00 PM.Room patients and obtain vitals. Perform phlebotomy. Use EMR to alert providers that the patient is ready. Review past medical, surgical, family, and smoking history, as well as allergies and medications. Other responsibilities as assigned. Front desk work and greeting patients. Schedule visits and handle clinical phone communication.18+ months of Medical Assistant experience working in a physician office setting. EPIC experience is a plus.4-hour EMR training on Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM (includes a 1-hour break). HIPAA module (approximately 15 minutes). 4-day EMR Scheduling Training following the start date (Tuesday through Friday).Compliance is due the Wednesday before the start date. Candidates must be ready to begin the compliance process immediately upon accepting the position. Medicals and drug screens must be started within 72 hours of accepting the award. Candidates who do not begin this requirement within 72 hours are at risk of the contract being cancelled.Required scrub color: Maroon/Burgundy. Candidates may need to bring their own stethoscope on day one.
