Harrington Cancer Center Certified Medical AssistantJoin our team as a day shift, full-time Harrington Cancer Center Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Amarillo, TX.Thrive in a People-First Environment and Make Healthcare BetterThrive: We empower our team with career growth opportunities, tuition assistance, and resources that support your wellness, education, and financial well-being.People-First: We prioritize your well-being with paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and a supportive, inclusive culture where you are valued and cared for.Make Healthcare Better: We use advanced technology to support our team and enhance patient care.Get to Know Your Team:BSA Harrington Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art, 48,000-square-foot facility with two new linear accelerators for radiation treatments, 24 patient exam rooms, 28 heated chemotherapy infusion chairs, and three private infusion rooms for families.ResponsibilitiesPerform clerical and clinical duties under the direction of a physician and or registered nurseClerical duties may include scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, and maintaining medical recordsClinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and administering medications as directed by a physicianQualificationsJob Requirements:Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA or equivalent); Current or must be attained within three (3) months of hireCurrent BLS certificationPreferred Job Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious similar clinic experiencePrevious experience with EMR systemsOne year experience in physician's practice
