Join Our Mission-Driven Clinical Team!Are you passionate about patient care and making a difference in your community?Community Health Center of Central Wyoming (CHCCW) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our growing clinical team in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to individuals and families who need it the most.As part of our integrated health care model, you'll work in a supportive, collaborative environment where your skills and compassion truly matter.The CMA provides clinical support services to the providers. Duties include:Preparation of patients for the exam roomObserving, interviewing and notating patient symptomsBasic laboratory testing, ECG, and updraft treatmentsMeasurement of vital signsAssisting with proceduresAdministering medications and immunizationsMaintaining quality, safety and/or infection control standardsSafely operating various medical equipmentSterilizing supplies and equipmentMaintaining and restocking examination and procedure roomsThis position also requires Electronic Medical Record (EMR) proficiency and a basic knowledge of front office procedures such as scheduling appointments. The CMA will be expected to work in other areas of the clinic when deemed appropriate, such as the Call Center or floating to other areas when needed.The CMA should have knowledge of:Medical termsMedical clinical protocols and proceduresPatient evaluationTriage methods, concepts, practices, communications and techniquesDrawing labs (as phlebotomy isn't always available)Procedures and standards for administration of medications, immunizations and patient carePatient charts and patient medical historiesApplicable medical equipment operation such as catheters, oxygen, and autoclavesApplicable OSHA health, environment and safety, Federal and State laws, rules and regulationsWhat We're Looking For:High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED)Completion of Medical Assistant Program Certification with the National Association of Health Professionals upon hire, or within the first (90) days of employmentBLS Certification (current, or obtain upon hire)Strong communication and teamworking skillsBilingual ability is a plusAbility to work with a diverse populationEffective communication and interpersonal skillsWhy Join Us?Comprehensive insurance benefits package (medical, dental, vision, LTD, and life)Retirement benefits including employer match (403(b) pre-tax and Roth options)Support for professional development and continuing educationA meaningful mission – be part of a team committed to improving health equityThis position routinely deals with sensitive and confidential information and documents requiring the utmost privacy and confidentiality.This position requires successful completion of substance abuse testing as a condition of employment.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and provider of services.
