The hospital also features a 24-hour emergency department, designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke ready facility with advanced diagnostic technology, a cardiac rehabilitation program, GI lab, outpatient clinics and a sleep lab.Learn About a Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant:ResponsibilitiesPerform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician.Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.QualificationsJob Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentCurrent licensure as a Certified Clinical Medical AssistantPreferred Job Requirements:6 months' medical clinic experience preferredBLS certification within 30 days of hireNCT certification
