If you are looking for a rewarding career that makes a difference in the community, this is your chance to join us as a Medical Assistant.The medical assistant is either certified or non-certified (more money for a certification) and will assist in the delivery of primary health care services and client care management in a fast-paced office setting. Other duties:Under the supervision of the medical provider, participates in providing health promotion, health maintenance and illness management.Prepare patients for provider office visit, greet and escort patient to the exam roomObtain patient's vitals, update the patient's medical history, medications, and allergiesDocument all screening information in the electronic medical record in an accurate, thorough, and timely mannerPrepare and administer injections as ordered by provider and/or per standing ordersPerform point of care lab procedures accurately and timelyDraws, labels, records, and completes lab orders for in-house and contact lab in a timely mannerPrepare patient in exam room for the exam and/or procedureQualificationsGraduation from an accredited Medical Assistant programCertification is highly desired. If you possess a certification it results in a higher starting wage.
