Certified Medical AssistantPride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in Edinburg, TX 78539. Job Details: Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm with a 1 hour lunch. Location: Edinburg, TX 78539 Job Type: Local contract Contract Length: 3+ months (Possibility of extension or conversion) Pay Range: $21/hr to $23.40/hour* *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.Duties:Performs clinical Medical Assistant duties including patient rooming, specimen collection, venipuncture/capillary draws, EKGs, non-IV medication administration, wound care, dressing changes, and staple removal.Operates diagnostic equipment, performs equipment quality control checks, and prepares/sterilizes medical instruments using an autoclave.Prepares patients for examinations, accurately documents patient care in the medical record, and coordinates care as directed by providers.Maintains exam and treatment rooms by stocking, cleaning, sterilizing instruments, and following standard infection control precautions.Provides basic telephone and in-person intake, gathers patient information without clinical judgment, maintains confidentiality, and follows established policies, procedures, and Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO).Requirements:Education: High school graduate or GED equivalentCertification(s): Medical Assistant CertificateYears of experience: 2+Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codingBilingual (English/Spanish)Equal Employment Opportunity PrideGlobal and it's affiliates are an equal opportunity employer.
