Day (United States of America) Certified Medical Assistant III - Pediatric ClinicHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredGraduate of an approved school or institution for Medical Assistant'sCurrent Certification/Registration in Medical Assistance required with current educational updates as required by the State of FloridaBLS requiredBasic Pharmacological knowledgeProject a positive attitudeDemonstrate ethical behavior Practice within the scope of education, training and personal capabilitiesMaintain confidentialityApply principles of infection controlApply principles of antiseptic techniqueTake vital signs (body temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, pulse ox)Perform first aid and CPRPrepare and maintain examination and treatment areaInterview and take patient historyTransfer and transport patients with or without assistive devices using proper body mechanicsDocument accuratelyUse appropriate guidelines when releasing records and/or informationPerform within ethical boundariesMaintain the physical officeObserve safety precautions in officeInventory supplies and equipmentIdentify supply resourcesUse EHR systemImplement current diagnostic/procedural coding systemsAdhere to current Joint Commission standards
