Job description
Certified Medical AssistantImmediate need for a talented Certified Medical Assistant. This is a Fulltime opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Juneau, AK (Onsite). Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).Key Responsibilities:Prepare patients for visits and review charts for required forms, labs, and procedures.Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and medication information.Assist providers with examinations, minor procedures, treatments, and patient transfers.Perform specimen collection, POCT, 12-lead EKGs, nebulizer treatments, dressing changes, and other clinical duties within competency.Maintain exam rooms, supplies, equipment, and infection-control standards.Accurately document patient information in EMR/EHR systems.Provide basic patient education and discharge instructions.Support patient flow and provide cross-coverage as needed.Recognize and appropriately report changes in patient condition or safety concerns.Key Requirements and Technology Experience:High School Diploma/GEDCurrent BLS CertificationClinical Competency completion within 3 months of hire and every 3 yearsCompletion of a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant program OR qualifying healthcare experience as a CA, CNA, EMT, or CHAKnowledge of medical terminology, basic triage, clinic procedures, and age-appropriate vital signsStrong communication, organizational, customer service, and EMR/EHR skills
