Certified Medical AssistantOur client, a leading health system in Garden City, KS, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for their Pediatric Clinic. This full-time position plays a crucial supportive role in collaborating with the healthcare team and patients/families to promote optimal health and well-being.ResponsibilitiesAssess patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, and review of medical records & clinical data.Demonstrate competency in various therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including vital signs, mini treatments/procedures, and medication refills per protocol.Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.Provide patient/family education and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.Encourage patient engagement through motivational interviewing and self-management support protocols.Precept and mentor new staff or medical assistant students as needed.RequirementsHigh School Diploma/G.E.D.BLS through American Heart Association.Nationally Certified as a Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT.Successful completion of all Medical Assistant Core Skills and additional competencies as defined within the Scope of Practice for Medical Assistants.Preferred: Completion of Medical Assisting Program/Trade/Technical School or EMT Program/Trade/Technical School.ScheduleMonday - Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)Compensation$16.43 - $24.86/hourBenefitsMedical, prescription drug, dental, and vision plans.Life insurance.Paid time off (minimum of 14 paid time off days, including holidays annually).Tuition reimbursement.Retirement plan benefits including 401(k) and 403(b).
