CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination. Every day, you will actively collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide essential health education, and expertly manage administrative tasks, leveraging technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel at ease, patiently explaining instructions and addressing their concerns. To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical knowledge, technological fluency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable spirit keen on continuous learning and collaborative teamwork.Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.May perform routine tests including but not limited to EKG's.Job RequirementsRequiredHigh School Graduate General Studies, upon hire orHigh School GED General Studies, upon hire andCertified Clinical Medical Assistant, upon hire orCertified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire orCertified Medical Assistant NHA, upon hire orNational Certified Medical Assistant NCCT, upon hire orNational Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP, upon hire orRegistered Medical Assistant AMT, upon hire orRegistered Medical Assistant, upon hire orCert Med Asst - MMCI, upon hire andBasic Life Support - CPR, within 30 DaysPreferred1 year of experienceCommonSpirit Health was formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health.
