Job description
Medical AssistantLocation: Various HVMG Physician Offices, ConvenientCare, HV Pediatrics Work Hours: Monday through Friday, varying daylight hours. ConvenientCare may require weekends and/or holidays.Rooms patients, collects vital signs, review patient medication list and patient medical/social history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.Required:High school diploma or equivalentCurrent Medical Assistant certification (e.g., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA)Current CPR certificationProficiency in computer applications relevant to clinical practiceMinimum of 2–3 years of recent experience in a primary care physician office settingDemonstrated proficiency in venipunctureAbility to travel within the assigned territoryFlexibility and adaptability to work in varying office settings with minimal noticeSuccessful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.Preferred:Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant diploma or degree programPediatrics experience strongly preferredEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
