Certified Medical Coder - Outpatient & ED

Work Arrangement: 100% Remote -
Job Type: Contract "
Duration : 8 weeks
Job Category: Non-Clinical
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Hours: 35 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: Must be comfortable working one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
Pay Rate : $35/hr on W2
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder with strong Outpatient and Emergency Department (ED) coding experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of outpatient coding experience , including experience coding in an emergency room setting
Required Qualifications
* * Minimum 3 - 5 years of outpatient medical coding experience .
* Emergency Room/ED coding experience required .
* Acute care coding experience.
* Proficiency with 3M Coding Application .
* Knowledge of HDS Coding Application .
* Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4.
* Strong understanding of coding, payer, and federal billing guidelines.
* Strong computer skills.
* Ability to research and resolve coding issues.
* certification CCS CCP AHIMA RHIA RHIT
* High School Diploma/GED required.
* English proficiency required.
