Eventide Crete in Crete, NEEventide Crete in Crete, NE is seeking a Certified Medication Aid (MA40)/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to work PRN, 24 hours per month, 16 hours on the weekend. This schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation.The Certified Medication Aid (MA40)/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for enhancing the living experience for Eventide's seniors/residents/clients by performing various care activities and related services as described and in compliance with the comprehensive care plan/service plan objectives. While doing so they will contribute to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of seniors/clients through respectful, professional, competent and personable interaction.Essential functions include:Providing assistance with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.Assisting with senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.Following department protocol for submission of completed documentation.Prioritizing assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/overlapping senior/client/caregiver/team member/manager needs, call lights, when necessary.Performing work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Eventide, regardless of team member preference.Following through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client.Complying with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by insuring that protected health information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times.Implementing activities for the seniors/clients.Preparing, plating and serving meals, snacks and other foods requested by/for/to senior/client.Assisting with cleanup of the dining room and is responsible for housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.Additional essential functions if utilizing MA40: preparing and administering medications and treatments, under the direction of the RN, within scope of practice as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures. Evaluating emergency situations, performing CPR when necessary, based on training.Ideal candidate:Communication: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language including medical terminology related to the job.Physical requirements: Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 50 - pounds, demonstrating strength and agility at Tabitha's discretion.Age requirement: At least age 18.Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience: 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.Credentials: CNA and Med Aide 40 hour certification in good standing as demonstrated by inclusion on the Nebraska State Registry required. If utilizing MA-40 certification, CPR is required. All certifications must be kept up to date at the expense of the employee. Must meet Eventide's vaccination requirements.Compensation:At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $ per hour for Med Aides based on qualifications, experience, and location.
