Medication AideMonday-Friday Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMPOSITION SUMMARY:Ensure Assisted Living residents receive the appropriate medications (as ordered) at the appropriate times and within the scope of responsibilities of the medication aide as defined by the State of Texas.Must function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, family members and support agencies.May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations or stay on property during inclement weather, Example: Hurricanes.Report and document resident's refusal of treatments or medications to the charge Nurse and the Wellness Director.Order medications in a timely manner.Report any incidents or concerns to the charge Nurse and the Wellness Director.*Other duties as assigned*POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:This individual will possess the following:Must be a licensed Certified Medication Aide having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with laws of this State.Must be flexibleMust willingly demonstrate the ability to work in a team-oriented environmentMust demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter with job duties assignedExperience using Point Click CareHave at least 1 year of Assisted Living experience preferredJob Type: Full-time403(b)Medical, Dental & Vision InsuranceEmployer Paid Life Insurance PolicyFlexible scheduleFree parkingMedical Specialty: GeriatricsEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)License/Certification:Current Texas Certified Medication Aide (Required)Work Location: In personWe are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
