Vision, Dental, STD, LTD, AD&D, and other benefits are available for enrollment as well.Job ResponsibilitiesAdminister medications to residents as ordered and under the direction of the attending physicianAdminister medications in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, local procedures and practices, and requirements of the stateAccurately and safely prepare, administer, and document the oral and/or topical medications ordered for a residentComplete necessary forms, charts, and reports in a timely mannerEnsure all medications administered are properly labeled, returned, and reorderedCreate and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and foster a calm and cheerful environmentParticipate in facility surveys by authorized government agenciesMaintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelinesEffectively communicate necessary resident information to charge nurses, director of nursing and/or administratorQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be a licensed Certified Medication Aide in the stateKnowledge of the meaning and common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms for medication administrationAbility to accurately measure, record, and report vital signsPlease Note: Effective Oct. 18, 2021, all Avamere employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have an approved medical or religious exception.
