Regency Newcastle CMA OpportunityWe are Regency Newcastle, an exceptionally beautiful retirement and assisted living community providing each individual compassionate care in a nurturing environment. We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join our team.CMA ResponsibilitiesAs a CMA, you provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. You also administer, instruct, and monitor resident medications and report to the wellness director.You Will:Ensure proper dosage/distribution and instruct residents on application/consumption of medication per the direction of their physicianTake vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirementsEnsure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.Document care in keeping with department policiesYou Currently:Possess an HCA certification in the state of employmentCan obtain CPR/BLS cardRead, write, speak and understand EnglishFollow prescribed safety and infection control proceduresHave compassion and interest in working with the senior populationCommunicate and interact tactfully with othersOur Benefits:Medical / Dental / Vision InsurancePrescription Drug CoverageVacation/Sick/Paid Time Off (PTO) - Based on StatePaid Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee Discounts (movies, restaurants, gifts, & more)401-KWe are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status.
