Job description

This contract position near Van Nuys, CA, offers you the chance to utilize your expertise and passion for physical therapy in a dynamic educational setting-nurturing the growth and development of young learners across grade levels.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Physical Therapy license for the state of California
PT certification required
Previous experience working in school environments (elementary, middle, or high school)
Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for children and adolescents
What You'll Do: Provide individualized and group physical therapy services to students, following IEP requirements
Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student progress
Assess, plan, and implement creative therapy interventions tailored to each student's unique needs
Monitor and report on student outcomes, adjusting strategies as needed
Maintain timely, accurate case notes and documentation in compliance with school and state standards
Educate staff and families on mobility, equipment, and classroom modifications to enhance student participation
