Responsibilities
Provides basic patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
Monitors and records vital signs, intake and output, and reports changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and ambulation.
Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings.
Maintains patient rooms and common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and organized care environment.
Supports nursing and physician staff with patient care activities and unit workflow.
Manages tech desk operations and assists with maintaining efficient department throughput.
Documents patient care and activities in accordance with hospital and unit standards.
Participates in required education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.

What To Expect
Unit Volume: 7‑14 patients daily
Staffing Model: Up to 8 patients—1 Nurse + 1 CNA; Over 8 patients—2 Nurses + 2 CNA
Unit Type: Acute Setting
Rooms: 14 rooms (double occupancy available)
Care Model: Collaborative team approach (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)
Certifications and Education
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Certified Nursing Assistant Aide license from the State of Tennessee
Handle with Care certification preferred
