Certified Nurse Aide CnaMercy Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital strives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, intense rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who excels in this role:Provides direct patient carePerforms specific documentation in the patient's recordMaintains equipment and supplies and participates in quality assuranceCommunicates appropriate information intradepartmental and interdepartmentalAssists and participates in staff education and pursues continuing education for personal development.Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures.Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.Perform other related duties as assigned.We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
