Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)North Platte Valley Medical Center is looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our team in Saratoga, WY. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide nursing care to patients and assist them in daily activities such as bathing, eating, and toileting and other duties within their scope of practice determined by the state of Wyoming.The ideal Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) candidate is dependable, compassionate, punctual, and enjoys helping others. This person must be reliable, empathetic, and be able to work with all types of people.Responsibilities:Patient care – The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) instills confidence and trust in patients in a competent and caring manner. Provide hygiene and daily living assistance. This could include toileting, bathing, and assisting patients with showers. Support the patient with meals as needed. Ambulate, turn, and position patients as required.Professional development – The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) maintains any specialized training and, if applicable, perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned patient or area.Must maintain HIPAA compliant and follow policies pertaining to PHI.Must be able to work collaboratively as a teamMust attend all mandatory departmental and facility wide meetingsMust be able to work with long-term care residents and ensure patient safety at all times.Must have the ability to learn the electronic medical record system and ensure documentation is completed in a timely mannerMust have the ability to communicate to fellow staff as well as the interdisciplinary team for continuity of patient care.Receive and report resident status at the beginning and end of each shift and as neededMake room checks and verify resident locationAssist residents to walk with or without self-help devices as instructedPerform vital signs, B/Ps, weights and other trained procedures as directed by managementReport all changes in residents' conditions to the Nursing Supervisor as soon as practicalPrepare residents for meals and assist to and from the dining areasPerform all other duties as assignedRequirements:Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course or the equivalentMust hold a Wyoming CNA license and an active BLS certificationPrevious hospital experience with acceptable references preferredExcellent customer service skillsProlonged periods of standing and walkingMust be able to lift 75 pounds at timesSchedule:NPVMC promotes a 12-hour, 7 on 7 off rotating scheduleShift availability: We have open roles for both day shift and night shift role North Platte Valley Medical Center benefits include:Simple IRA matchingIRA Retirement planDental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insuranceHealth savings accountLife insuranceDisability insurancePaid orientationPaid sick timePaid time off
