Job description

CNA Med Aide OpportunityThe Village at Regional West is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented CNA Med Aide to provide quality care and medication assistance to residents in a long-term care setting. This role is essential in supporting residents' health, safety, comfort, and overall well-being. CNA Med Aides are responsible for assisting with daily living activities, administering medications within their scope of practice, and promoting a positive resident experience.A Day in the Life ofAs a CNA Med Aide, you'll provide direct resident care, assisting with activities of daily. You'll help residents maintain their independence while ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety.Your day will also include administering medications as assigned, accurately documenting medications and resident care, and observing residents for changes in condition. You'll communicate important observations to nursing staff and respond appropriately to resident needs.In addition, you'll assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, support resident activities as needed, and collaborate with other team members to ensure high-quality care and service throughout the Village.QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredExperiencePrevious experience in long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare preferred but not requiredCertificationCertification as a CNA in the State of Nebraska without restrictionsCertification as Medication Aide – 40 Hour in the State of Nebraska without restrictionsAmerican Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers required upon hireWork RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout assigned areas for entire shiftsAbility to lift, transfer, reposition, push, and pull residents using proper body mechanics and equipmentAbility to accurately administer medications and complete required documentationStrong attention to detail and commitment to resident safetyAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalismEffective communication and interpersonal skillsPositive attitude and strong teamwork skillsFlexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidaysWhy Join Regional West Medical Center?Make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents every daySupportive, team-based work environmentOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCompetitive compensation and benefits packageA conditional job offer is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug test and background checks.
