Job description
CNA PositionReports to the Patient Care Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, the CNA provides specific direct patient care activities and performs related support functions within his/her scope of responsibility as specified in this job description.ResponsibilitiesResponds appropriately in an emergent situation as per hospital policy.Utilizes principles of Infection Control in the delivery of care.Accurately performs and records vital signs including blood pressureMonitors and records patient intake and output accuratelyProvides for patient's personal care needs-hygiene, toileting, feeding and bed makingPerforms waive testing according to policy and procedureObserves care of patients on suicidal, constant and safety precautionsTransport patients as assigned.Implements restraints according to policy and procedure.QualificationsHigh School or GED required. BCLS and completed certified Nursing Assistant course.
