nPOSITION SUMMARY:
nIn a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, contributes professional and clinical expertise to assigned patient populations to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. Scope of practice will encompass:
nExpert clinical practice
nExpert guidance and coaching of patients and families and other healthcare providers
nResearch
nLeadership (clinical, professional, and systems)

nPROGRAMMATIC RESPONSIBILITES:
nProvides evidence based comprehensive care for women, including routine obstetric care and management of routine non-surgical care for gynecologic care for patients. Obstetric care includes antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care for pregnant patients. CNM assumes direct responsibility for implementing care plan.
nParticipates and/or leads quality assessment and performance improvement activities.
nActs as a liaison between the patient, family and physicians
nAssist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to assure consistent and appropriate patient care for this patient population
nWorks collaboratively with the Medical Director/Chairman and or Collaborating Physician
nEDUCATION:
nBoard certified and credentialed as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey with primary focus of education and training as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
nObtain a New Jersey CDS and federal DEA certificate upon employment
nEXPERIENCE:
nMinimum of 2-3 years of clinical practice experience in related field.
nSPECIAL SKILLS:
nEvidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving. Participation in pertinent professional and/or specialty organizations preferred. Serve on-call and/or weekend rotations as required.
nSALARY:
nSalary range: $142,900 - $157,200
nGenerous w RVU production incentive.
nAbility to earn up to 5% quality incentive
