Your Role in This Environment
Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care plans
Diagnosing and treating acute, chronic, or episodic health issues, working alongside physicians or independently depending on your credentials
Providing education to patients and their families on prevention, wellness, and effective disease management strategies
Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your professional scope
Engaging in patient follow-up and managing ongoing chronic care
Cooperating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and seamless patient care
Documenting all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Background Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Necessary Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialized certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
