Your Role in Action
Carrying out thorough patient assessments, requesting necessary diagnostic evaluations, and developing personalized care strategies
Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions alongside physicians or independently (as permitted by credentials)
Providing education to patients and families regarding prevention, wellness, and disease management
Prescribing appropriate medications and treatments in line with your scope of practice
Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic care effectively
Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, comprehensive patient care
Meticulously documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications Needed
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Successful graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
