If you're looking for a different perspective on healthcare and senior living come join us today!You will enjoy:Scholarship OpportunitiesEmployee Referral Program resulting in $300 for each successful employment referralOffering Everyday Pay!Your personal and professional growth is important to us, so we provide continual professional training and career advancement opportunities.You will enjoy being part of a great team in a fun, engaging work environment!Who you are:Holds current Nursing Assistant Certification in Texas or posses written documentation from state examiner that requirements for such were metSuccessfully completes competency evaluation requirements under state guidelinesHas effective communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to promote a courteous, calm atmosphereBe able to assist the licensed staff nurse, as well as the charge nurse to fulfill management functionsBe able to work cooperatively with other healthcare professionals and other departments within the systemHave the ability to demonstrate age-appropriate knowledge of growth and development in order to assist in the collection of data by the licensed nurseHave the ability to provide prompt, courteous reception of all patients presenting to the nursing unitShow the ability to demonstrate initiative by actively seeking additional duties, as well as accepting and performing all other duties as assignedPossesses knowledge of and implements infection control and universal precaution practicesAble to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requestsAble to lift up to and over 100 lbs., move, and transfer resident as neededAble to bend, stoop, crouch, walk, push, pull, and able to climb at least 8 flights of stairs.Able to perform physical demands of the position which are frequently extreme and require the highest level of concern for personal and resident safetyMay occasionally be subject to physically or mentally violent residentsAble to withstand disagreeable odorsWorks safely with possible blood borne, and air borne pathogens presentAll five senses must be intact or correctable to acceptable levels and be mentally alertEssential Job Duties:Supports and nurtures resident's physical and mental healthBathes residents as scheduled and provides other necessary personal careRecords medication and personal care given on the Daily Care RecordReports relevant changes to Charge NurseUtilizes and submits charge sheets on a daily basisPerforms any other duty in which the appropriate training level has been achievedMakes resident round with off-going shift as well as hourly, ensuring residents are clean, comfortable, and ascertaining overall conditionLifts, turns, and transfers residents when needed, utilizing proper safety equipmentPasses out fresh ice water to each residentAssists residents in feeding and making sure food is appropriately portioned for the residentClears dishes from tables during and after meal serviceMaintains safe and sanitary conditions in dining areaAttends server training sessions on proper procedures for serving mealsAttends in-service training and education sessions as assignedImplements new skills learned in training to enhance job performancePerforms specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisorWellness Focus:Carillon Senior Living employees are expected to promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees.
