Job description
Are you a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) looking for a rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced outpatient surgical setting? Join our Surgery Center team and play an essential role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care while helping create a positive experience for patients and their families throughout their surgical journey.
nOur Surgery Center features two operating rooms and cares for up to 16 patients per day in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. We are open Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., providing the work-life balance healthcare professionals value-with no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
nThis position may include variable shifts based on patient volumes and operational needs, offering flexibility while supporting the changing demands of a dynamic outpatient surgery center.
nWhat to Expect
nPatient Care
nnnAssist with patient intake, preparation, and discharge activities.
n
nnObtain, document, and report vital signs accurately.
n
nnPerform point-of-care urine pregnancy testing according to established protocols.
n
nnPerform bladder scans and communicate results to the clinical team.
n
nnAssist patients with mobility, comfort measures, and activities of daily living as needed.
n
nnProvide compassionate, professional customer service to patients and families throughout their visit.
n
n nClinical Operations
nnnClean and prepare patient care rooms between cases, ensuring proper sanitization and readiness for the next patient.
n
nnMaintain a clean, organized, well-stocked, and safe clinical environment.
n
nnMonitor and replenish supplies within patient care areas.
n
nnSupport infection prevention and safety practices in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
n
nnAssist with equipment cleaning and readiness for daily operations.
n
n nTeam Collaboration
nnnCollaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to promote efficient patient flow.
n
nnCommunicate patient needs, concerns, and changes in condition promptly.
n
nnContribute to a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional patient experience.
n
nnSupport center goals related to quality, safety, patient satisfaction, and operational excellence.
n
n nQualifications
nPreferred
nnnPrevious experience in ambulatory surgery, perioperative services, outpatient care, or another procedural setting.
n
nnExperience with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.
n
n nRequired
nnnCurrent Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
n
nnCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross, or American Health Institute.
