Job TitleSchedule: 24 Hours, Nights, Every Other Weekend, Part-Time, Benefit EligibleLocation: BMC SouthPosition Summary:Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse assigned, performs a variety of direct patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the patient. Provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly as well as accommodating a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, language barriers, and potential victims of abuse. Incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, exceptional care and the hospital's values and mission into his/her performance of job duties. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.Required Knowledge & Skills:Knowledge of medical terminology is required. Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and patients is required. Must be able to prioritize multiple requests to ensure timeliness and provide exceptional patient care. Must possess the skills to be compassionate, empathetic and responsive to the needs of a variety of patients.Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.Experience: Experience as a nursing assistant strongly preferredCertification/Licensure: Must possess a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or show proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school and completion of the courses "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II."Must possess a BLS from American Heart AssociationSoftware/Hardware: Computer experience is preferredCompensation Range:$17.62- $26.18This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
