POSITION SUMMARY :
Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse assigned, performs a variety of direct patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the patient.

Department: Geri Psych - Seton 7 West
Schedule: Part Time
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Key Reponsibilities:
Provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly as well as accommodating a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, language barriers, and potential victims of abuse.
Incorporates knowledge and understanding of our committment to patient rights, exceptional care and the hospital's values and mission into his/her perfomance of job duties.
Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED :
Certification/Licensure: Must possess a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or show proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school and completion of the courses "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II." Software/Hardware: Computer experience is preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Must possess a minimum of one year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or be a matriculating student in a nursing program and have completed the "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II."
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Required:
Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and patients is required.
Must be able to prioritize multiple requests to ensure timeliness and provide exceptional patient care.
Must possess the skills to be compassionate, empethetic and responsive to the needs of a variety of patients.
Compensation Range:
$18.15- $26.97 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
