Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Certified Nursing Assistant on the Skilled Unit at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.Salary Range: $36,608.00 - $44,096.00Shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM - 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM - 11:00 PM - 7:30 AMJob Responsibilities:Assists nursing staff in assessing the client's physical and mental condition according to policies and procedures.Assists with patient's feeding (this may include tube feeding), personal hygiene and grooming functions as necessary.Turns and re-positions bedridden clients, with assistance, to prevent and/or promote the healing of pressure sores.Completes required documentation in patient and unit records.Follows hospital/departmental procedures regarding infection control.Performs basic nursing procedures, such as taking vital signs, weight, specimens according to the treatment plan.Provides training and/or direction to patients in activities of daily living in order to promote increased independence.Utilizes correct body mechanics in performing patient care activities to prevent injury.Maintains current certification with the State Aide Registry (NAR).
