Emergency Department Certified Nursing AssistantThe Emergency Department Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting with unit/patient care needs under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.RequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalent required unless a current high school student participating in the CATS program for the NCCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required through American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.Listed with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation in good standing.Essential Physical RequirementsMust possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
