Job description
Emergency Care TechJoin our Emergency Department team as an Emergency Care Tech! As a CNA in our ED you will be one of the first clinical employees to be a part of the patients care! This position is essential in providing high-quality, patient-centered care under the direction of licensed nursing staff.ResponsibilitiesAssist nurses by gathering patient data through observation, obtaining vital signs, and performing point-of-care testing.Perform routine patient care procedures safely and competently.Ensure timely communication and documentation, including reporting significant patient changes to nursing staff.Provide frequent rounding and fall prevention interventions; remain with high-risk patients when needed.Support patient flow through timely admissions, transfers, and discharges, including documentation and removal of IV locks.Collaborate with nursing staff to support a positive and efficient care environment.QualificationsCurrent Maryland CNA LicenseBasic Life Support (BLS)3 years ED experience requiredAbout Carroll HospitalOur communities expect and deserve superior medical treatment, compassionate care, and expert guidance in maintaining their health and well-being.
