nnTake and record vital signs.
nMeasure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output.
nRecognize abnormal changes in body functioning and importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor.
nAssist as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
nProvide compassionate care for residents with dementia.
nTransfer, position, and turn residents.
nProvide skin care to residents.
nContribute to the resident’s assessment and the plan of care.
nProvide nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services.
nFollow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
nProvide emotional and social support to residents.
nPromote and protect resident rights, assist residents in making informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect resident’s personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid the need for physical restraints in accordance with the current professional standards, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation.
nInform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
nRespect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
nRespect residents’ confidentiality.
n nnQualifications:
Qualifications
nLevel of Formal Education: A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
nArea of Study: Clinical/Nursing
nYears of Experience: 1+ years
nType of Experience: Clinical/Nursing
nSpecial Certifications: CNA licensure depending on state requirements and regulations
nLanguage Skills: Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations. Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills
nSkills and Ability:
n• Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
n• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
