Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)Middlesex, NC $32,009 - $39,099 a yearJoin a dedicated healthcare team in the Southeastern United States as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This role involves providing essential patient care, observing and reporting changes in patient conditions, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked patient environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and equipment.Respond promptly to patient needs, either directly or by notifying appropriate staff.Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated patient care tasks.Ensure patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.Manage access to medication and supply rooms to retrieve necessary patient care items.Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas.Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.Demonstrate responsibility in customer satisfaction, patient throughput, and hospital capacity compliance.Education and CertificationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.Experience and SkillsNo prior experience required; training provided.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to read and write English effectively.Flexibility in work tasks and schedules.Basic computer skills and ability to learn new techniques.Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.Physical RequirementsAbility to work variable shifts.Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and patient turning.Visual and auditory acuity to observe patient conditions.Exposure to blood and body fluids with adherence to safety protocols.Licenses and CertificationsBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
