At PeaceHealth, we believe healthcare is about caring for the whole person, including our patients, our communities, and each other.What You'll DoAs a CNA on our Neurology team, you'll help patients feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout their hospital stay while working under the direction of a Registered Nurse.In this role, you will:Provide direct patient care within the CNA scope of practice.Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, meals, and hydration.Help patients safely walk, exercise, reposition, and get in and out of bed.Take and document vital signs.Monitor and record fluid intake and output.Apply dressings and assist with treatments as directed by a nurse or provider.Observe patients closely and promptly report changes in condition.Accurately document patient care activities.Stock patient rooms and clinical supplies to support daily patient care needs.Provide occasional unit support, including answering phones, order entry, and chart-related tasks.Support a positive, compassionate experience for patients and families every day.Experienced CNAs are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates with prior acute care experience and a demonstrated ability to work independently in a hospital environment will be given special consideration.QualificationsRequiredCurrent Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire (must be issued through American Heart Association or American Red Cross).Demonstrated ability to apply age-specific care and developmental principles to meet patient needs.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced care environmentPreferredAt least one year of CNA experience in an acute care hospital setting.Why PeaceHealth?At PeaceHealth, you'll find a culture built on compassion, respect, inclusion, and teamwork.
