Job description
A health services network in New York City is seeking a new Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their team at one of their addiction treatment and recovery center in the Bronx.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day shift and evening shift
Schedule: Monday through Friday and every other weekend
Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM; 35 hours per week
Setting: In-person
Responsibilities: Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and eating
Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
Provide support during detoxification and rehabilitation processes
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive patient environment
Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience in a detox, rehabilitation, or similar healthcare setting
Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Basic knowledge of addiction and recovery processes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
Desired Skills: Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Experience using SigmaCare
Experience supporting psychiatric evaluations and HIV counseling and testing
