Certified Nursing AssistantAs a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide high quality, individualized patient care in collaboration with the nursing team. Your ability to take initiative while always assisting and maintaining patient care will be critical in the success of the entire team.ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Service. Provide and/or assist the resident in activities necessary as per individualized care planning; transport to and from activities as needed; provide leisure activities as needed; perform evaluation and reporting; provide resident and family with emotional supportSafety. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe resident environmentCommunication & Documentation. Support families, direct them to appropriate professional staff; respond to resident requests in a timely manner; receive/give reports to team members/team leadersRequired Qualifications:Completion of NYS approved certified nursing assistant programMinimum age requirement: 18Registered Certified Nurse Aide in New York StatePreferred Qualifications:Ability to read, write and speak English, ability to follow verbal and written instructionAssociates degreeEducation:CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant - NYS Office of ProfessionsPhysical Requirements:Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee's physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.
Pay Range:
$19.50 - $22.00The posted pay range is a good faith representation of potential base pay for this position. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates could vary based on position details and FTE.
