Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with Registered Medication Aide (RMA) CertificationHarbor's Edge is a premier, 5-star, resort-style Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in Norfolk. We are proud to be a top-rated CCRC known for exceptional resident care and a high-quality work environment.We are seeking highly qualified, part- and full-time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) who also hold an active Registered Medication Aide (RMA) certification. Both certifications are required to join our team and deliver excellent care for our residents. The ideal candidates will have senior living experience (e.g., long-term care, assisted living, memory support) and a passion for working with an elderly population.We provide a competitive compensation and benefits package, shift differentials, favorable nurse to patient ratios, and a supportive, state of the art work environment.Key Responsibilities:Administer medications in accordance with Virginia state guidelines and physician orders (RMA role)Accurately complete Medication Administration Records (MAR) and monitor for side effects or adverse reactionsDeliver personalized care in alignment with resident care plansAssist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobilityMonitor and record vital signs, weights, and changes in conditionEnsure safe transfers and ambulation using proper techniques and equipmentMaintain a safe, restraint-free environment and implement fall prevention strategiesDocument care provided and communicate effectively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teamSign-on bonus available for eligible candidatesRequirements:Must be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or GED requiredActive Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) AND Registered Medication Aide (RMA) certifications in the Commonwealth of Virginia – REQUIREDMinimum of two (2) years of relevant experience; long-term care or senior living preferredCurrent CPR and First Aid certification requiredKnowledge of medication administration, medical terminology, and medical records/documentation (MAR experience preferred)Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with residents, families, and team membersAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate documentationDemonstrated compassion and commitment to working with elderly and/or disabled individualsPhysically able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with resident mobility, including standing, walking, bending, and transferringComprehensive benefit package includes:Medical/Dental/Vision InsurancePaid Time Off + Six Paid HolidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Employer Paid - Basic Life & AD&D InsuranceEmployer Paid - Short-term and Long-term Insurance403(b) Retirement Savings Plan w/ Employer ContributionCollege Tuition ReimbursementEmployer Paid - Certification TrainingLegal Resources & Identity Protection PlanBenefit offerings vary according to employment status.EEO/D/V
