nStarting Rate: $20.50/hour
nSunday 8:30am-10:30pm, Tuesday 2:30pm-10:30pm, Wednesday 2:30pm-10:30pm, Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm
nThe Certified Nursing Assistance is responsible to provide assistance to the support staff with the daily activities of individuals, provide ongoing support, guidance, role modeling and providing assistance in meeting clients medical and health needs

nMinimum Education Required
nHigh School Diploma/GED
nResponsibilities
nnnReport to shift on time ready to spend at least 95 percent of working hours in personal contact with individuals
n
nnServe residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direction of a Program Manager and consultative support of DD Community RN
n
nnPerform all duties in accordance with established methods, techniques and recognized standard
n
nnAssist program support staff in completion of all daily/shift tasks, including but not limited to oversight of individuals’ medical and health needs: hospitalization, appointments, assessments, discharging, transferring and caring for the residents' personal belongings
n
nnPrepare summaries of interaction and objective behavioral observations of clients at the end of shift; clinical notes and data collection using Microsoft Outlook.
n
nnLift and transfer individuals as needed.
n
nnAssist individuals in Self-Advocacy, decision-making and empowerment.
n
nnProvide ongoing support, guidance and role modeling for individuals.
n
nnAssist individuals with home maintenance and perform cleaning duties as assigned
n
nnPerform Activities of Daily Living (ADLSs) for residents as required
n
nnCoordinate scheduling for residents requiring OT, PT and ST
n
nnTake and record weights, blood pressures, temperatures, pulse and respiration and give skin care treatments, as permitted by state regulation
n
nnReport on resident status or family concerns to Program Manager
n
nnEnsure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individual's needs and rights
n
nnPerform other duties as requested
n
nnMaintain certification in CPR, First Aid, SOLVE, MAP, HR/DPPC
n
nnEnsure that individuals we support are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates’ Human Rights Policy.
n
n nQualifications
nnnCertified Nursing Assistance Certificate Required. Experience with the program population is preferred.
n
nnAbility to write routine reports and correspondence.
n
nnStrongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
n
nnAbility to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals.
n
nnBasic computer knowledge.
n
nnExcellent customer services and communication skills.
n
nnAbility to read and speak English, bilingual preferred.
n
nnCommitment to Advocates values and mission.

nnMust have valid driver’s license and access to auto.
