Gainesville Health Care Center Cna OpportunityGainesville Health Care Center is looking for CNAs. Pay based on experience. Shift differential for evening and night shift. Eligible for attendance bonus. On-site classes available if you are interested in the medical field but are not certified yet. Please complete online application or call Ashley Thomas, RN, DON, at About The RoleThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing compassionate and direct patient care within healthcare settings across the United States. This position focuses on assisting patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity while supporting the nursing staff. CNAs are responsible for monitoring patients' health status, reporting changes to the nursing team, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, effective communication, and teamwork to enhance the overall patient experience. Ultimately, the CNA contributes significantly to the delivery of high-quality healthcare by supporting both patients and clinical staff in a dynamic environment.Minimum QualificationsCurrent certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) recognized by the state of employment.High school diploma or equivalent.Completion of an accredited CNA training program.Basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification.Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a hospital, long-term care facility, or home health environment.Additional certifications such as Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA).Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.Strong interpersonal and communication skills developed through prior healthcare experience.Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations.ResponsibilitiesAssist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive and respectful environment.Ensure patient rooms and equipment are clean, safe, and well-organized to prevent infection and accidents.Communicate effectively with nurses and other healthcare professionals regarding patient conditions and care plans.Help with patient transfers and positioning to prevent bedsores and promote comfort.Support the implementation of individualized care plans under the supervision of registered nurses.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and observations.SkillsThe required skills enable the CNA to provide safe and effective patient care by performing clinical tasks such as measuring vital signs and assisting with hygiene and mobility. Communication skills are essential for accurately reporting patient status and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. Attention to detail and organizational skills help maintain clean and safe environments, as well as precise documentation. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with electronic health records, enhance efficiency and accuracy in patient data management. Additionally, interpersonal skills foster trust and comfort for patients, which is critical in delivering empathetic and patient-centered care.
