Provides care that addresses the specific needs of adult geriatric psychiatric patients as well as accommodating a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, language barriers, and potential victims of abuse. Incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, exceptional care, and the hospital's values and mission into his/her performance of job duties. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.Required Knowledge & Skills:Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.Experience: Must possess a minimum of 1 year experience as a nursing assistant or be a matriculating student in a nursing program and have completed the "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II."Certification/Licensure: Must possess a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or show proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school and completion of the courses "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II." Current BLS certification required. Mandatory De-escalation Education within 30 days of hire.Software/Hardware: Computer experience is preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology is required.Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and patients is required.Must be able to prioritize multiple requests to ensure timeliness and provide exceptional patient care.Must possess the skills to be compassionate, empathetic and responsive to the needs of a variety of patients.Adult geriatric psychiatric experience preferred.Compensation Range:$18.15- $26.97This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
