nAs a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you'll do more than provide direct care—you'll help residents build independence, confidence, and life skills while supporting them in their recovery journey.
nThis unique role combines traditional CNA responsibilities with opportunities to assist with medication administration, transportation, meal preparation, community outings, and daily household activities. Working alongside an interdisciplinary team, you'll build lasting relationships with residents and help create a supportive environment focused on dignity, growth, and quality of life.

nResponsibilities
nnnProvide direct personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and ambulation.
n
nnMonitor residents' physical condition and report changes in health status to the appropriate clinical staff.
n
nnAssist with medication observation and medical monitoring as directed by care plans and organizational policies.
n
nnSupport residents in developing and maintaining daily living skills and self-help activities.
n
nnEncourage independence while providing appropriate supervision and assistance.
n
nnFoster positive relationships and healthy interactions among residents and their housemates.
n
nnEnsure the safety and well-being of residents at all times and maintain a safe living environment.
n
nnAssist residents with recreational, social, and community-based activities.
n
nnAccompany residents to scheduled appointments, community outings, and other approved activities.
n
nnDocument care provided, resident progress, and significant observations accurately and timely.
n
nnCommunicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and team members.
n
nnFollow individualized care plans and support strategies.
n
nnMaintain compliance with all agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
n
nnParticipate in team meetings, training programs, and ongoing professional development activities.
n
nnPerform other duties as assigned to support resident care and program operations.
n
n nQualifications
nRequired:
nnnMust be at least 18 years of age.
n
nnCurrent Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, or Home Health Aide certification if applicable, in accordance with state requirements.
n
nnValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record as defined by agency policy.
n
nnCompletion of a recognized nursing assistant or home care aide training program.
n
nnMinimum of six (6) months of recent experience providing direct care or related support services preferred.
n
nnAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
n
nnDemonstrated compassion, patience, and commitment to person-centered care.
n
n nPreferred:
nnnExperience working with individuals recovering from neurological injuries, brain injuries, behavioral health conditions, or other complex rehabilitation needs.
n
nnExperience in residential care, long-term care, rehabilitation, or community-based support settings.
