CNA Opportunity at Walworth Hospital and Medical CenterPrepares records, processes orders and provides patient care in the hospital setting, supporting the nursing philosophy. May include weekends, holidays, day, evening, night, and/or on-call hours. Performs other duties as assigned.Schedule: Two 12 hour shifts, with a weekend and holiday rotationShift: NightsLocation: Walworth Hospital and Medical CenterMercy Walworth Medical Surgical floor includes SCU/ICUOur Med Surg floor is 25 bedsOur typical patient ratio is 4/5 to 1, depending on acuity may be lessWe have 24/7 Hospitalist and ED physicians in houseWe have shift coordinators and resource nurses at nightEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcesses orders and patient charges in an accurate and timely manner.Answers the telephone and call lights in an appropriate and timely manner, providing information or relaying messages to patients and staff.Directs visitors to patients' rooms.Maintains medical records of current patients.Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking, and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.Provides patient care as assigned and per routine, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures according to CNA job duties and expectationsDocuments care provided according to standards.Maintains a clean work and patient environment.Floats to various units based on identified needs.Participates in department and unit performance improvement activities.Verifies accuracy of charges enteredFacilitates a welcoming environment assisting with visitor wayfinding.Assemble patient folders and charts for unitRaul and responder/Vocera/versus set up for new staffEducation and/or ExperienceCompletion of a CNA program. Advanced CNA program preferred.Completion of a Unit Clerk course or equivalent on the job training (which can be provided).Certification/LicensureNursing Assistant Certification in applicable state.Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.Other Skills and AbilitiesPay Range: $18.65 - $27.04Mercyhealth is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
