Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based therapy team for the upcoming school year. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT), the COTA will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy, and supporting students in developing functional skills needed for success in the school environment.
Offering a flexible Part-time- Full -time schedules to help with growing coverage needs in a school-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in delivering occupational therapy services and activities designed by the supervising OT.
Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
Support the documentation and tracking of student progress.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the therapy team to reinforce goals in the classroom.
Prepare therapy materials and ensure a safe, supportive environment.
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations under the supervision of the OT.
Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Active COTA license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain before start date).
Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred but not required.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Passion for helping children achieve their educational and functional goals.
