As a COTA, you will play a crucial role in helping our patients achieve their goals and regain their independence.About the Role:As a COTA at Grove Park Healthcare Center, you will work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to design and implement personalized treatment plans for our patients. You will use your skills and knowledge to help patients develop, recover, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and work. You will also work closely with our nursing staff, other therapists, and patients to ensure seamless care and effective communication.Responsibilities:Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of patient treatment plansPerform occupational therapy treatments, including exercise programs, activities of daily living (ADL) training, and cognitive trainingUse adaptive equipment and assistive devices to help patients perform daily tasksCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive careMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reportsProvide education and support to patients, families, and caregiversParticipate in team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plansRequirements:Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or related field preferredPrevious experience in a hospital, rehabilitation center, or long-term care settingStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentValid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable)Why Join Our Team:At Grove Park Healthcare Center, we prioritize our employees' growth and development.
